Harvest Partners Close on Harbor Point Land
Dallas based Harvest Partners today closed on 28 acres of land in Garland, TX along I-30 at the tip of the Eastern peninsula of Lake Ray Hubbard.
The closing is a milestone in the creation of one of North Texas' most dramatic new retail/entertainment developments, Harbor Point. The land will be part of Harvest Partners' signature development made possible by the enthusiastic public support of the Garland citizens last year for a public/private partnership to ensure the success in the development of this retail/entertainment project.
The development, which will cut its ribbon in the fall of 2006, will feature a 120,000 square foot Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World with courtesy docks, six on-the-water restaurants, a conference center hotel, 16,000 square feet of small shop retail, and four retail pads fronting on I-30.
"This closing is the culmination of two years of planning and negotiations to create a unmatched destination entertainment retail development in North Texas," said Blaine Lee Harvest Partners.
The development has only a couple water-front restaurants spots remaining, where each restaurant can have its own "over the water" patio dining.
The Bass Pro Shops is expected to draw as many as 3 million customers annually from North and Northeast Texas.
